1. Does the allowance money of RM100 in Bank Islam belongs to the students?

It is not for the students’ use. Fee for DEM course is RM 27700 but the PTPTN credit is only 17000. So, the students need to pay the balance of RM 10700 either by their parents’ EPF, monthly payment or one shot payment. Your loan payment will be credited into the bank for 5 times. The first payment of RM 3400 will be credited to the students’ Bank Islam account and the rest will be auto debit to the college’s account. The RM100 will always be remained in the students’ account to ensure that the bank account is active. The amount of RM100 is standardized for all the students. The students need to pay that RM100 to the college as to complete the remaining balance. For your reference, RM3400 x 5 times is equal to RM17000.

2. Why do the students need to pay the outstanding payment before the final exam?

Normally, it’s the rule for all the institutions to settle the full payment for each semester when the semester begins. But, in our college we are still allow the students to continue the semester as long the students pay the fee before the final exam. The students will only be barred when they failed to settle the payment before the final exam.

3. Why do the students need to pay RM30 each month for the hostel?

This rule of paying RM30 is only applied after September 2016. This is the payment for the warden as the warden need to observe and ensure the students’ safety in the hostel.

4. As a parent, I would like to know why I was not informed about the hostel fees?

Actually, all this information will be briefed to the parents by the operation department through text message or letter. You may also come across about the hostel payment through the memo that we have in the college’s information board. At the same time, the college will also brief this information to the students. So, it’s the students’ responsibilities to convey the message to the parents. And, sometimes, the letter that we send might not be received by the parents because we are not informed about the changes in the contact number or house address.
